Every Township in Marion County has a Small Claims Court. You must file your small claims case in the justice court for the township where. There are three Magisterial District Judges located in offices throughout Perry County. Remember that different small claims courts have different procedures. Magisterial District Judges also set bail and conduct preliminary hearings in misdemeanor and felony criminal cases to determine if the cases should be dismissed or transferred to the Court of Common Pleas for further proceedings.
